Like the Sanskrit prayer she’s named for, Gaiatri Sud’s illustrations have an elegant, reverent tone to them. Her work has been recognized by the Society of Illustrators and blends delicate lines with subjects inspired by folklore, medieval literature, romance and her endless longing for the sea.

When not curled up drawing on a screen, she can be found drawing on a piece of limestone, where she translates her work into stone lithographs. She probably should have become a geologist instead.
